World Ranger Day is celebrated worldwide on the 31th of July, due to the 2018 Zimbabwean Elections the celebrations were held earlier in Masvingo province the province where one of SOFA’s Students Chapter is. With a vision to create a library for animal conservation Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority Collaborated with SOFA for awareness raising, and library creation. SOFA donated books Specifically the Zimbabwe Animal Law Statute Book and The African Elephant Book. The Animal law statute book is a compilation of Zimbabwean statutes that protect animals as well as international treaties. The African Elephant Book is a book written by Rachel Lassman for SOFA on elephants. SOFA spoke about the legal consequences of illegal fishing and handed over library books on Wildlife conservation to the local leaders.
